Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My mom was a local realtor in Moses Lake for years, and my dad had a small excavation and construction business and still works in the field. They were heavily involved in the community and now I have taken that same path here in Moses Lake.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I own Roost, which gives me the opportunity to seek out small, boutique wineries with quality products and bring them locally to my customers. The wine business is expanding and it’s exciting to me to be a part of it. I also love the opportunity it gives me to go out and meet the owners at wineries that I haven’t yet met and invite them to be a part of the Roost community and experience.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
El Chele; it’s original and so good. I also love more traditional dishes at Sumo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I moved to Moses Lake from California in 1974 and I opened up Roost in 2018.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I would have to say Eunice Carpentier; her stories are just fascinating about Moses Lake!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Egypt.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be yourself; not what people think you should be.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To hike in Scotland.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
I love the Hotel Costes channel on Apple Music.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I’d have to say the old retail downtown back in the 80’s and early 90’s.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
So many choices. Graham Norton and Elizabeth Banks – they are both so unique.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I really think our Moses Lake Farmers Market is fantastic.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I’d like to franchise Roost in other cities such as Chelan, Walla Walla, and the Kendall Yards in Spokane.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
When I’m out and in public I’m 100% an extrovert, but when I’m home I’m 100% an introvert.

Uzes in the South of France.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month? May. Favorite holiday? New Years.
